Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 Butcherbox chicken breasts 

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 3 sprigs of thyme

  • 1 tbsp Butcher Box Anything Seasoning 

  • Salt and pepper

    to taste

For the Caesar Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 lemon

    (juice) 

  • 2 garlic cloves

    grated

  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese

    grated

  • 2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

For the Salad and Pitas:

  • 2-3 romaine hearts

    chopped

  • 2 pitas

Step By Step

Instructions

Preparation:

Cook the Chicken:

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.

When the pan is hot, place both chicken breasts in the pan and sear for 1 minute.

Add the butter, garlic clove, and thyme sprigs to the pan. Baste the chicken with the melted butter for 1 minute.

Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and cook for 12 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). 

Prepare the Pitas:

Wrap the pitas in aluminum foil and place them in the oven during the last 5 minutes of the chicken's cooking time.  

Assemble the Salad:

Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Slice the chicken into thin strips.

Toss the chopped romaine with the Caesar dressing. 

Assemble the Pitas:

Slice the warmed pitas open and stuff them with the dressed lettuce and sliced chicken. Your Chicken Caesar Salad Pitas are ready to enjoy!
