In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, 1 tsp cornstarch, and a pinch each of salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add broccoli and water; cover and cook for 4-6 minutes until broccoli is tender. Remove broccoli and set aside.

In the same pan, heat another tbsp of olive oil. Add coated sirloin tips and sear until browned. Pour in the sauce mixture and simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.

Return the broccoli to the pan, stirring to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes.
